Fremantles New Party Venue on the Beach

It seems the J-Shed is not waiting to finish building the new venue but will be kicking off a bit sooner.

Amazing how council approved such a lease with such a strong local opposition to it. Well not really it just shows the lack of representation residents and rate payers have on its own council.

Well if you wish to have a say or put your point of view forward below are the links to take you to the Fremantle City’s website to get the info.

Submissions close on the 28th of August 2015.

Maybe the council ethic’s committee should take a close look at the art committee advice. The volunteer committee looked at aspects of this project and voted in favour of it. However it now emerges that one member of the committee was also an adviser to Bunbury Shire and had worked closely with Sunset Events in relation to concerts they organised in Bunbury. Thus there appears to have been a bias in relation to Sunset. The committee member should have stood down, or have been stood down, because of previous connections with the applicants, to avoid any semblance of bias.
